Terms of Service

LoanCompass is a record-keeping tool for loans between private individuals. You use it to write down what you lent, to whom, and what has been repaid.

It is not a lender, a broker, a payment processor, or an escrow service. No money moves through it. Nothing you record here creates, alters, or enforces a legal agreement between you and anyone else, and nothing in the product is financial or legal advice.

You are responsible for the account you create. That means:

• Giving an email address you actually control
• Keeping your password to yourself
• Telling us if you think someone else has got into your account
• Everything done from your account

When you add a borrower you are recording information about someone else. Only record what you need, keep it accurate, and delete it once the loan is settled and you no longer need it. If that person asks you to remove their details, do it.

Do not use LoanCompass to pressure, threaten, or harass anyone, to run a lending business you are not licensed for, or to break the law in your country.

LoanCompass is in early access and provided as is. It may be slow, briefly unavailable, or change without notice, and features may be added or removed. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

We are not responsible for:

• Disagreements, losses, or unpaid debts between you and a borrower
• Figures that are wrong because of what was entered
• Downtime, data loss, or emails that do not arrive
• Services we link to but do not run

Reminder emails are a convenience, not a guarantee. Do not rely on them as your only record of a due date.

You can delete your account whenever you like, which removes your loans and borrowers as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend an account that is being used to break these terms.

If these terms change in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use LoanCompass after a change means you accept it.
